Board of Trustees Position Available

The Pendleton County Public Library is seeking residents with a passion for libraries who are interested in serving on the Board of Trustees. The Library is a special purpose governmental entity, governed by a five member Board of Trustees dedicated to supporting and developing the Library’s mission to connect our community, explore the world, imagine what can be, and create.

This is a non-paid, volunteer position. Applicants must be able to attend regular monthly meetings, currently held on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. and lasting 1-1½ hours. Trustee responsibilities include reading prepared materials prior to the meetings; reviewing and approving Library policies and budget; and being an advocate for the Library.

The available positions will be eligible to serve one additional four-year term. Selection is based upon diversification, representation of the geographical regions of the county, and developing an array of professional experience that will benefit the Board’s decision-making abilities.

Interested applicants are asked to submit an application. These may be picked up at the library.

We look forward to hearing from you!
