Smoke & Tobacco Free Property, Effective March 1, 2019

We are dedicated to providing a welcoming, healthy, and safe environment for our customers and staff. Due to acknowledged health hazards arising from exposure to secondhand smoke, PCPL property will be designated as a smoke and tobacco free environment.

Starting March 1, the use of any smoke or tobacco product (including cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes (vaporizers), smokeless tobacco products, etc.) is

prohibited by employees, customers, and vendors on all PCPL property (including buildings and structures, grounds, parking lot, sidewalks, and vehicles). However, smoke or tobacco products may be used within private vehicles that are parked at least 25 feet from the building. Customers who violate this policy may be asked to leave Library property.

PCPL’s policy is available at the library and pcplibrary.org. Contact PCPL for more information.

If a smoker is ready to quit, free resources include the Tobacco Quit Line at 1-800-QUIT-NOW and Freedom from Smoking at www.freedomfromsmoking.org
