The Pendleton County Public Library offers you many services that you may not be aware of.
Porch Delivery Service: The purpose of our Porch Delivery Service is to make the Library more accessible to the residents of Pendleton County. PCPL patrons in good standing, who live in Pendleton County, can have library materials delivered directly to their homes. These materials include: books, CDs, DVDs, Non-Traditional items, and more! Document Shredding: Document shredding is done by a Kentucky company called DocuBit. The company was founded in 2006 and is proud to still be locally owned and operated in Central Kentucky. Over the last 15+ years, DocuBit has serviced companies throughout the state of Kentucky, and continue to grow every day. The employees are professional and are dedicated to the security of your documents. DocuBit is AAA NAID certified and HIPPA compliant shredding service. They pick up every 4 weeks and transfer the documents from the locked cabinets in the library to locked carts. These carts are then transported back to their facility where they are shredded.
Drive-Thru: In a hurry, or unable to come into the Library? Take advantage of our Drive-Thru service! Most Library services can be provided through the Drive-Thru. These services include, but are not limited to: Returning Library materials, Requesting Library materials, Checking out library materials, sending or receiving faxes, and making copies.
Drop Boxes: We offer two drop boxes for our patrons’ convenience. One is located in our parking lot so Library items can be dropped off after business hours. The second is located at the Heritage Bank in Butler. All Library materials may be returned in the drop boxes except for laptops or hotspots. We also ask that you please bring donations to the Library and not place them in the drop boxes. Materials will be picked up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from the drop box in Butler and at 8:30 am daily from the drop box in the Library parking lot.
Exam Proctoring: If you are taking Correspondence or Online Courses from another institution and need a proctor, we would be glad to assist you. Exam proctoring is available during our regular business hours. More detailed information is available at https://pcplibrary.org/exam-proctoring/ .
Kentucky Talking Book Library: The Kentucky Talking Book Library (KTBL) provides free library service to people who cannot read traditional print because they have a visual, physical, or reading disability. Audio and Braille materials are sent to and from users by postage-free mail.
Meeting Rooms: In keeping with PCPL’s mission “to connect our community, explore the world, imagine what can be, and create”, the Library provides access to multiple meeting rooms for non-profit organizations or individuals including two Study Rooms, one Conference Room and one Community Room. Notary Services: Free notary public service is available to the community. Please call for available hours.
Passport Acceptance Facility: We process routine and expedited passport applications. Hours of acceptance are Monday – Friday: 9 am – 4 pm and by appointment only on Saturday and Sunday. Forms are available at our facility. For more information on the application process, please visit https://iafdb.travel.state.gov/.
Print, Scan, Fax, & Laminate: Do you need office services? We have them! You can print from our 16 public computers, scan from our scanning station, fax to anywhere, and laminate all your important documents.
Request an Item: If we don’t have it, we will get it. We can even contact other libraries for you and have the item sent to us, just come to the front desk and ask for an item to be requested. Please note, you must have a valid Library card which is in good standing and not new in order to request items.
Technology: Have you seen the technology available at the Pendleton County Public Library?
