Get a Library Card

Getting your Pendleton County Public Library card is quick and easy.

All citizens of Pendleton County are invited and encouraged to become patrons of the Library.

Any Kentucky residents who are willing to follow the Library’s guidelines and regulations are welcome as patrons.

Adult cards are issued to patrons 18 years of age or older.

Juvenile cards are issued to patrons ages birth to 17.

A free library card with a two item check out limit will be issued after appropriate ID has been shown and an application card and postcard have been filled out.

The postcard will then be mailed to each new patron for confirmation of address.  This postcard must be returned to the

Library to complete the registration procedure and activate full borrowing privileges

Children 11 and under:  The registration card and postcard must be filled out in the child’s name. The child must be present and the parent or legal guardian is required to provide (parent) picture identification and sign his/her child’s registration card.   Alternative methods of consent, such as notes, phone calls, or a neighbor’s, relative’s or baby-sitter’s signature will not be accepted.

Children 12-17:  Need to be present to fill out a registration card and postcard.  They are NOT required to have a parent or legal guardian’s signature but proof of the juvenile’s name (not necessarily a picture ID) is needed for a library card to be issued (school ID or school related documents will be sufficient).  Homeschooling families may present their yearly “letter of intent” in lieu of a school ID and foster families may present court documents.  Other forms of ID may be approved by the Director on a case-by-case basis.

Adults 18 and above:  Must present picture ID and fill out a registration card and postcard.

There is a $1.00 charge for replacement of a library card.
